Experience outdoor learning in a fun, safe environment

Welcome to Step-Out, a Community Interest Company and the home of outdoor learning and experiences. Since 2012 Step-Out has been working with children and adults in the outdoors using the natural environment as a tool to inspire people.

Step-Out operates in both East Kent and the West Midlands.  The East Kent site is located at Evegate, Smeeth near Ashford. Our West Midlands work is based in and around the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire. We are also involved with a new and exciting Community Project in Ward End, Birmingham alongside Norton Hall Children and Family Centre.

The ethos of positive inclusivity and offering opportunities for all people to access a woodland environment in a safe and inspiring manner is at the heart of all we do. We strive to offer the very best in woodland learning and the facilitation of therapeutic woodland space.

We offer OCNWM and AIM qualifications and the John Muir Award; if it’s family time, children’s activities, Forest School Leadership or Bushcraft training, alternative education, corporate activity days, school curriculum programmes or woodland therapy please read on…..
